Perunthenaruvi Water Falls
Another waterfall adding to the beauty of the Charalkunnu hills is Perumthenaruvi. The term Perumthenaruvi meaning the Honey River is a favorite tourist spot and picnic spot. The awesome view overlooking the water cascading from the hills adds to the panoramic view of the spot. The water falls from a height of 60 to 100 ft. There are a number of beehives surrounding the waterfall and perhaps the term Honey River has come from the Honey bees residing there.

Kerala is famous for its bamboo products. However since Charalkunnu is a small hill station, there are not much things to shop and there are no shopping malls as such. However the locales put up small stalls and markets where tourists can purchase exquisite handmade bamboo products and tribal artifacts. Kerala is also rich of honey brought from the river Pamba.
