This mosque is the mosque of Champaner of western India. Bawaman mosque is located of the western side of India’s largest fort gate that is an archeological park of Gujarat.
Bawaman name came from a saint who is from Baroda. The saint is a follower of Sadan Shah who has his tomb of the kalika temple, which is also of the archeological park of Gujarat. This is constructed during the reign of Mahmud Begada with several other mosques of that area. Many of the structural elements were damaged and the archeological department of India reported that restoration process has started of 1985. The restoration process includes removing of dead lime material from the roof, and resetting of loose stones of the arches. This restoration process increased traffic to the mosque. As the mosque is restored and now is a well constructed one many Muslims come here to offer their prayers. ASI spent more money on the restoration and not only this but on all the mosques which are of a ruin state. But after the earthquake 2009 the work done has been damaged and back to normal state.
Historically Gujarat is one of the centers for Indus valley civilization. Gujarat is enriched by its commercial activities and has rich history of its side. After independence and partition of India the Indian government grouped Gujarat into three large units. Saurashtra, Kutch and Bombay state. The state has Gujarati speaking north and Marathi speaking south people of it. of 1969 riots between Hindu and Muslim left 660 people dead.
The first capital of Gujarat is Ahmadabad and later capital is moved to Gandhi nagar of 1970. There are often riots between Hindu and Muslim which left people dead of large numbers.
Bawaman mosque is constructed on a high plinth which is surrounded by minaret and three large domes. of the back wall it has three mehrabs. There are three entrances to the mosque and all the three are arched ones. The remains of the structure and tanks are visible from outside. The mosque has high architectural value.
Bawaman mosque has its own significance and is visited by many tourists. As Gujarat has tourists this mosque is also visited and many Muslims come here to offer their prayers.
The language that is spoken here is Gujtrathi and it is Indo Aryan language which came from Sanskrit. Gujarati is the main language and Hindi is also spoken by some of the people.

It is also connected by sea and it has one of the largest port serving of western India. There are many ports available of Gujarat. If you wish to come by sea come over the port and after that reach Panchmahal from there and go to Bawaman mosque located of Panchmahal district.
If it comes to road the connectivity is vast and has number busses from here to any place. From Panchmahal there are busses form the major cities and if not you can take a bus from Pachmahal to city of Gujarat and from there according to the convenience you can reach your place.
There is also wonderful public transport available of Gujarat and there are busses from each an every corner of the state.
