Chawk mosque is constructed by Shayistakhan of 1665. of the front it has five pointed arched and two more of deep are present. They are connected by eight pillars with one another and are supported by five domes. Chawk masjid is well known for its beautiful domes.
Chawk mosque of Aurangabad is built by Shayistakhan of 1665 A.D who is the maternal uncle of the emperor Aurangzeb. It is present of Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. The chawk mosque is one of the mosques which is scattered of and around the old city. It has five pointed arches of front and two deep aches. The arches are with eight pillars with one another and they are supported by five domes. The dome of the center is elevated and has a metallic steeple. The other domes are there inside the roof. The complete mosque is present on a high basement with chambers of it. At the corners minarets can also be seen. The chambers at high basement are used for shops are open to the road.
The gate of the mosque has two minarets and of the courtyard there is cistern present.
